Palm Beach Gardens, Fla. — In response to Donald Trump’s comments alleging that President Obama was involved in the Orlando terrorist attack, Patrick Murphy made the following statement:
“It is inexcusable that during a national tragedy, Donald Trump continues to use irresponsible rhetoric,” said Rep. Murphy. “To allege that President Obama was somehow involved in the Orlando terrorist attack is simply unacceptable and is further proof that Donald Trump is unfit to lead. This is a time to mourn with all those who lost friends and family yesterday, to pray for those still fighting serious injuries, and to come together and take immediate action to prevent future tragedies. These are the moments that define who we are as Americans. We will not be defined by Donald Trump’s racism.”
