Murphy Is Best Candidate To Represent Florida Families In U.S. Senate
Palm Beach Gardens, Fla. — Today, the Congressional Hispanic Caucus’ Building Our Leadership Diversity Political Action Committee (CHC BOLD PAC) endorsed Patrick Murphy for U.S. Senate.
CHC BOLD PAC is committed to electing candidates passionate about issues that impact the Hispanic community and who have a proven record of fighting for families.
Rep. Murphy added, “in the U.S. Senate, I’ll continue fighting against the type of fear-mongering that seeks to divide Florida’s families, and instead bring people together so we can pass much-needed comprehensive immigration reform, and ensure all Florida families have the opportunity to succeed and thrive.”
CHC BOLD PAC Chair Rep. Tony Cardenas (CA-29) said, “Having had the privilege of working with Patrick up close, I know he’s a passionate public servant who cares deeply about the needs of our Hispanic communities and families of every background in Florida. Whether he’s advocating for comprehensive immigration reform, raising the minimum wage, or making college more affordable, we can always count on Patrick to always put the best interests of our middle class families first. CHC BOLD PAC is proud to support Patrick because we know he will work to find commonsense solutions that lift up all of our families in the U.S. Senate.”
CHC BOLD PAC member Rep. Ruben Gallego (AZ-07) said, “Unfortunately, we’ve seen some of the worst parts of Trump’s agenda and rhetoric from Patrick’s Republican opponents, who would repeal President Obama’s executive actions on immigration that keep Florida families together and continue passing the buck on comprehensive immigration reform. While his Republican opponents stand with Trump and his anti-immigrant policies, Patrick stands with working families and has a proven record of fighting for a better future for all Floridians. CHC BOLD PAC is excited to endorse Patrick, and I look forward to continuing to work with him in the U.S. Senate.”
Since announcing his campaign in March, Rep. Murphy has received both statewide and national endorsements, including the support of the SEIU, Florida Education Association, AFSCME, Florida Teamsters, AFGE, LIUNA, Machinists, Carpenters, and Ironworkers. President Obama, Vice President Biden, and key Democrats in Florida and across the country have also endorsed Murphy.
